Welcome to Connect Namibia (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website https://connectnamibia.com and all related services offered through the platform. By registering, accessing, or using our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.


1. Introduction

Connect Namibia is an online marketplace that connects freelancers and clients. Freelancers can offer their skills and services, while clients can post projects, hire talent, and make secure payments through the platform.

By using our services, you agree that you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract.


2. Account Registration and Verification

To use our platform fully, users must:

  • Create an account with accurate and complete information.
  • Verify their email address and provide a valid form of identification for account activation.
  • Keep their login details confidential and not share them with others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be providing false information or engaging in any fraudulent activity.


3. Use of the Platform

You agree to use Connect Namibia for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • Post or share false, misleading, or inappropriate content.
  • Use the platform to engage in spam, scams, or unethical conduct.
  • Copy, distribute, or resell any part of the website or its content without authorization.
  • Interfere with the website’s functionality, security, or other users’ experiences.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or permanent account removal.


4. Freelancer Responsibilities

Freelancers agree to:

  • Deliver services honestly, on time, and to the agreed standard.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
  • Not share client information or project content publicly without permission.

Freelancers are independent contractors and are not employees or representatives of Connect Namibia.


5. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate project details and requirements.
  • Make full payment for completed work through the platform’s approved methods.
  • Communicate respectfully and clearly with freelancers.

Clients are responsible for verifying freelancer qualifications before hiring.


6. Payments and Fees

  • All payments between clients and freelancers must be processed through Freelance Connect Namibia.
  • Connect Namibia may charge a small commission on completed transactions.
  • Orders will only be processed once payment has been confirmed and cleared.
  • Refunds or disputes will be handled in accordance with our Dispute Resolution Policy.

Wallet and direct bank payment options may be available, and users must follow the provided payment instructions carefully.


7. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a disagreement between a freelancer and a client:

  • Both parties should first try to resolve the matter through direct communication.
  • If no resolution is reached, Freelance Connect Namibia may mediate and make a fair decision based on the project agreement and communication history.
  • The platform’s decision will be final in cases where funds are still held in escrow or wallet accounts.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, graphics, and software on the Connect Namibia website are the property of Connect Namibia or its licensors.
Users retain ownership of the work they create, but by posting or uploading it to the platform, they grant us a limited license to display it for promotional or operational purposes.


9. Limitation of Liability

Connect Namibia is a platform provider and is not responsible for the quality, delivery, or outcome of projects agreed upon between clients and freelancers.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our platform.


10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or damages the integrity of the platform.
Users may also deactivate their accounts at any time through their profile settings.


11. Data Protection and Privacy

Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described there.


12. Modifications to These Terms

Connect Namibia may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in policies, laws, or business practices. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Namibia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Namibian courts.
